Nursery Update – Fall 2025
As our nursery numbers have been increasing, and Fall is coming soon, we wanted to remind all our FFC Nursery Parents of a few policies we have in place to keep things safe and efficient in our nursery area.
1) Hold Onto Your Hearts – Please make sure to hold onto (and return) the numbered heart that you’re given during drop-off. This is how we make sure to release kids back to the proper adults. We know many of you become “regulars” at the nursery desk, and our volunteers get to know you (which is wonderful!), but this system ensures safe pick-up for all our kids.
2) Adults Only – We need an adult parent/guardian (grandparents are okay) to drop off and pick kids up from the nursery. Our policies don’t allow us to release kids to friends or older siblings. We realize this can be inconvenient on a busy Sunday morning, but this is the best practice we adopted after conversations with other churches about keeping kids safe.
3) Keeping It Clear – When picking up a child in the nursery wing, please send just one adult back to the nursery room itself. Siblings and other adults can wait near the desk, down the hall toward the drinking fountains, or just inside the gym. This helps keep the nursery hallway from getting crowded with too many people during pick-up time.
We will also be looking to update basic registration data for our nursery kids and parents in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for that in digital and/or print format.
Thank you again for trusting our nursery staff and volunteers with your children! If you have any questions about these (or any) nursery policies, please contact our Director of Children’s Ministries, Cheryl Woolman.
