This was a unique Sunday as we arrived to our church building in the morning only to find that we had no power! For our 8:30 service, we worshiped in the gym using hymnals, a piano, and an acoustic guitar, since it was the room with the most natural light. Sunday School classes then met in dimly lit rooms until the power came back on at about 10:45, just prior to our 11:00 service. We decided to continue with worship in the gym as we were already prepared for the service, but the good news is, we were able to turn on the lights and use some sound equipment which was a nice perk! We were reminded that the Holy Spirit shows up no matter where we worship or what instruments we use!
About this Series:
What does it mean to live in a way that is Truly Free as a follower of Christ? The book of Galatians is one of the earliest biblical letters, written by the apostle Paul to a church that was struggling with how to best understand the grace they had received from Christ. Not only does Paul address what the grace of Christ does for individual people, he also deals with how that grace affects how Christians interact with one another. Through this series, we will be exploring how to live, in community with each other, as Truly Free people under the lordship of Christ.
