Abram begins his journey from Harran to Canaan, and he does so at age 75. At this age, who is ready to take on a new adventure full of questions and risks?!? Trusting in God, Abram journeys into the land God has promised. God calls Abram to stop a few times and, on at least two occasions, Abram builds an altar. What do these altars represent? Why did Abram construct them? How do they call out to us today to continue the kind of journeying Abram chose, with the same faith that Abram had? Listen in to find out!
In this series, Called to Cross Over, we will be studying the life of Abraham. This imperfect patriarch was a person called to “cross over” in many ways. The word “Hebrew” is even linguistically tied to the idea of “crossing over” from one side to another. God’s dealing with mankind reaches a “crossing over” point in the events of Abraham’s life. As you listen to these sermons, consider how God is speaking to you and leading you and inviting you to “cross over” into a deeper relationship with him.
